Serenad Bağcan

Born in Ankara, singer Serenad Bağcan already had a passion for singing together as a young child, which led her to join children's and youth choirs at an early age. She grew up in a very musical family whose wide-ranging musical tastes gave her many years of training in Western classical and Turkish folk music. She has performed successfully in Turkey and abroad thanks to her unique style, combining both musical styles. A position as an alto with the State Polyphonic Choir of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism in Ankara soon followed. There, she also crossed paths with the pianist Fazıl Say, which she has been an integral interpreter of his song compositions since 2012. Together, they released the albums »İlk Şarkılar« in 2013 and »Yeni Şarkılar« in 2015, followed by »Şu Dünya Dünya Sırrı« in 2020 and finally »Dünya Anne« in 2023. Bağcan's first solo album, »Serenad«, was released in 2019.
