Festival

Institutional sponsors

The financing of the Ludwigsburg Festival is secured on the basis of institutional funding from the city, state and municipalities with substantial grants. Thanks to our regional partners such as the district of Ludwigsburg, the cities and municipalities of Bietigheim-Bissingen, Haigerloch, Tamm, Wertheim and Wolfegg, the Ludwigsburg Festival has an impact far beyond the borders of the city and are a festival for the state of Baden-Württemberg.

The Ludwigsburg Festival receives further financial support from private sources, including foundations, the Board of Trustees and the Freundeskreis. Numerous partnerships with companies – which have existed for many years – form a supporting pillar and are the basis of the private commitment.

Starting in 2021, the federal government will support the Ludwigsburg Festival for three years with a one-time grant from funds provided by the Minister of State for Culture and Media to promote a programmatic realignment of the festival and its exemplary commitment to the arts, democracy, and sustainability.

Freundeskreis (Friends)

[This text has been translated electronically.] For over 20 years, the Freundeskreis has been a constant and loyal companion and supporter of the Ludwigsburg Festival, contributing with its idealistic and financial commitment to the realization of extraordinary and groundbreaking festival projects. Special attention is given to youth work: enabling young people to have access to art and music is one of the main focuses of the support provided by the Freundeskreis.

Realizing the »Baden-Württemberg International Festival« means bringing together diverse cultural and artistic positions, allowing them to enter into dialogue with each other, offering access to different art forms, overcoming boundaries, creating new contexts of meaning and attracting top-class international artists to the festival. The result is a festival of the arts, democracy and sustainability.

The Freundeskreis promotes and supports the programmatic reorientation and the exemplary commitment of the Ludwigsburg Festival. Convinced of the creative power of art, it feels a special bond with the festival and its programme. Members enjoy a unique proximity to the festival, receive preferential treatment when purchasing tickets, receive exclusive programme presentations and introductions to works, meet artists and go on cultural tours.

As ambassadors, they carry the enthusiasm for the Ludwigsburg Festival to the outside world.
