Ferit Odman

Ferit Odman established himself in the Turkish jazz scene at a young age. His music studies began in Sweden and ended with a full scholarship at Bilgi University in Istanbul. In 2004, the musician moved to New York, where he completed his Master of Music degree with a further scholarship. In addition to numerous engagements with various jazz musicians, Odman leads a quintet and is touring all over Europe. His first lead album, »Nommo«, was released in 2010, followed by »Autumn in New York«, »Dameronia With Strings« and latest »The Vinyl Collection« in 2017. Preferably, Ferit Odman exclusively plays the New York Gretsch drums, classic American drumsticks from Vic Firth and cymbals from the Turkish company Istanbul Agop. Today, the sought-after jazz drummer lives in Istanbul.
