Wertheim Castle, one of the most beautiful castle ruins in southern Germany, is a traditional guest venue for the Ludwigsburger Schlossfestspiele. Situated at the confluence of the Main and Tauber rivers, the picturesque backdrop and the castle’s atmospheric ambience provide the perfect setting for one of a kind open air concerts.

Directions

You can reach Wertheim from Ludwigsburg via the A81 (exit 3) and then via the B27/B290 (turn left). From here, follow the signs to Wertheim.

Parking

There are plenty of parking spaces available in the old town around the castle.

Accessibility

The castle has limited barrier-free access. Please note: The ground in the moat consists of compacted earth or gravel. After prolonged downpours, the softened ground can cause problems for wheelchair users.

There are barrier-free toilets in the castle restaurant. Please note that it is quite a long way from the venue.
