The string quartet Brooklyn Rider delights critics from classical, world, and rock music. In 2020, the quartet presented »Hearing Modes«, a project that combines Beethoven's op. 132 with five commissioned works and examines a theme of healing historically and culturally. With »The 4 Elements«, this season, Brooklyn Rider addresses global warming and the destruction of our planet: Four new works reflecting current realities will join four existing works from the string quartet literature of the past 100 years - symbolic of the elements of fire, water, earth and air. In Europe, the musicians have already performed at the Muziekgebouw Amsterdam, the Flagey Brussels, the Liszt Academy Budapest, the Pierre-Boulez-Saal Berlin and the Heidelberger Frühling.
