Krzysztof Urbański

Conductor

After graduating from Warsaw in 2007, Krzysztof Urbański's conducting career quickly took off. He joined the local Philharmonic Orchestra as a conductor and won first prize at the International Conducting Competition in Prague. Long-term engagements with the symphony orchestras of Trondheim, Indianapolis, Tokyo, and the Hamburg Elbphilharmonie followed. He was the principal guest conductor of the latter two for several years. Urbański has also worked with numerous internationally renowned orchestras, including the Berlin Philharmonic, the London Symphony Orchestra and the New York Philharmonic. Highlights of the 2022/23 season include concerts with the Tonhalle Orchestra Zurich, the Vienna Symphony Orchestra, the Munich Philharmonic, and the National Symphony Orchestra Washington. At the »Monrepos Open Air«, Krzysztof Urbański will perform for the first time at the Ludwigsburg Festival.
