Founded in 2004 by Mikhail Gurewitsch, the dogma chamber orchestra brings together internationally experienced musicians from different backgrounds under his direction. Intending to create not just concerts but concert experiences in which the audience is firmly involved, the orchestra has made a name for itself as one of the most innovative European chamber music ensembles. Their significant repertoire includes famous works from all eras and original compositions by participating artists. In 2019, the orchestra was awarded the OPUS KLASSIK and two ECHO KLASSIK awards for its captivating playing style. In 2020, the dogma chamber orchestra debuted at the Kölner Philharmonie and the Elbphilharmonie Hamburg and undertook its first concert tour to Japan. In the last two seasons, the orchestra has toured with Sergei Nakariakov, Mischa Maisky, and Matthias Kirschnereit, among others. Other projects have brought the orchestra together with Asya Fateyeva, Herbert Schuch, Vanessa Porter, and Viviane Hagner.
