Approximate 150 minutes

Johann Sebastian Bach wrote over 60 cantatas in his first year as Thomaskantor. It was 1723 when his music week after week, holiday after holiday, resounded in the Leipzig church. For the 300th anniversary the Gaechinger Cantorey, under the direction of Hans-Christoph Rademann, will perform all of these works in their fullness. The ambitious project with the title »VISION. BACH« shows what Bach has achieved in this short period of time and invites the listener to explore the connection between music and words. As chance would have it, the baroque Ludwigsburg Palace Church was also consecrated in 1723. The perfect place, therefore, to enjoy three cantatas of the Leipzig creative period.
