For almost 40 years now, the Mandelring Quartett has excelled as one of the best string quartets in the world. Concert tours have taken the ensemble to cultural metropolises such as Paris, Vienna, London, Madrid, New York and Central and South America and Asia. In 1997, the award-winning quartet founded its successful festival, the HAMBACHERMusikFEST. Innovative concert series such as »3 out of 30« or »À la carte«let the audience have a say in the programme and attract numerous visitors with this concept. From their broad repertoire, their recordings of the complete string chamber music of Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy and the string quartets of Dmitri Shostakovich stand out. With a selection from the latter, the Mandelring Quartett was already a guest at the Ludwigsburg Festival in 2020.
