To express the communal character of Europe - no more modest goal was pursued by the young musicians of the European Youth Orchestra (EUYO) when they founded the Chamber Orchestra of Europe in 1981. In Jan Lisiecki, the Canadian pianist with Polish roots, the ensemble has found the ideal partner. Under his direction, the musicians move through the cosmos of Ludwig van Beethoven. The pianist has found his place alongside the great interpreters at the latest with his 2020 recordings of all piano concertos. At the Ludwigsburg Forum, he and the Chamber Orchestra of Europe will make their debut at the Schlossfestspiele and delight the audience with the Piano Concertos No. 4, No. 5 and the ballet overture from »The Creatures of Prometheus«. Those who know his playing know: he does not imitate, and he sounds like no one else - Lisiecki's interpretations stand for themselves.
