Yannis François began his carrer as a dancer with Lena Blou. He entered the École-Atelier Rudra Béjart in Lausanne and later became a member of the Béjart Ballet. Encouraged by Maurice Béjart himself, he started to explore a singing career parallel to ballet fully. As a result, the bass-baritone obtained his master's degree in Classical Singing at the Conservatoire de Lausanne and has sucessfully established himself as opera and concert singer ever since. The bass-baritone regularly creates concepts of CD programmes of artists such as Jakub Jozef Orlinski, Philippe Jaroussky, Julie Fuchs, Jeanine de Bique, Bruno de Sà, Lea Desandre. In 2022, the singer will perform »Dido and Aeneas« in Berlin and Ludwigsburg with Sasha Waltz, the Vocalconsort Berlin and the Akademie für Alte Musik Berlin under Christopher Moulds.
