Photographer, artist and project manager Lesia Pcholka is engaged in the reappraisal of Belarusian history, culture and traditions. In 2015, she graduated in social psychology from the Minsk Innovation University and participated in other international educational programmes, including ArtPlatform, Creative Enterprise, Nesta and Sputnik Photos. Pcholka is the founder of the VEHA initiative, which focuses on archival photography and the everyday history of Belarusians, and teaches at the European College for Liberal Arts in Belarus. After her arrest in March 2021 and subsequent repression, the artist fled to Poland.
