[This text has been translated electronically] The musician and freedom fighter Maria Kalesnikava was sentenced to eleven years in prison in Minsk. She and all the other courageous people who have been peacefully taking to the streets for democratic structures in Belarus for the past year have become a symbol for Belarusian society. The series »Echoes - Voices from Belarus« gives them a voice. Already in spring 2021, the ECLAT Festival offered 17 Belarusian artists a podium in cooperation with European musicians on its digital channels. From these descriptions of the state of affairs, artists will now unfold a differentiated picture of the suffering and resistant, self-discovering Belarusian society in the autumn. On October 3rd, these artists, together with a choir, will present a performance that is as touching as it is shocking, which can be experienced as an installation during the remaining days of the exhibition. The performances on 3 October will take place at 12:00, 13:30, 15:00 and 16:30.

To make your visit more enjoyable and to ensure greater safety, a maximum of 30 guests are allowed inside at any one time.

A production of Musik der Jahrhunderte/Festival ECLAT and the Ludwigsburger Schlossfestspiele in cooperation with the Kunstzentrum Karlskaserne.
