The percussionist Alexej Gerassimez is not only a guest soloist with internationally renowned orchestras such as the NDR Radiophilharmonie Hannover or the Munich Philharmonic Orchestra. As a chamber musician, too, he presents a repertoire that ranges from classical and new music to jazz and minimal music. Out of this joy of experimentation, bottles, brake discs, barrels or ship's propellers can be heard in his own compositions alongside the usual percussion and melodic instruments. Since November 2017, Ale-xej Gerassimez has been professor of percussion at the University of Music and Theatre in Munich.
