21 years ago, Meike Raasch took over the Ludwigsburg Linden pharmacy from her mother-in-law and set up on her own as a pharmacist. The interior dated from 1976, in the classic 1970s style. Ten years ago, Meike Raasch redesigned the pharmacy as a bright, inviting space reminiscent of a white spaceship. This attracted attention far beyond the borders of Ludwigsburg; her pharmacy featured in numerous books and brochures on architecture and was awarded various design prizes.

Meike Raasch grew up with naturopathy, and it had always been her dream to make it her profession. To have this specialisation reflected in the design, she commissioned artist Monika Trenkerto paint a ceiling fresco. The painting – which shows eleven medicinal plants, including lilies, mistletoe, ivy and elder – symbolises the naturopathic and homeopathic orientation of the Linden pharmacy.
