Fabián Schofrin

Countertenor

Before Fabián Schofrin specialised in 17th and 18th century music, the Argentinean first studied violoncello and singing in Buenos Aires. He made his debut as a soloist in 1986 with Carl Orff's »Carmina Burana«. Further vocal studies took the countertenor to Europe for five years. Influenced by the Centre de Musique Ancienne de Genève and the Schola Cantorum in Basel, he performs in theatres and operas all over the world. In 2006, Schofrin founded the ensemble Cappella Mediterranea together with Leonardo García Alarcón.
