What highlights you can expect this week

We begin on Thursday, July 6 at 8 pm with a special interpretation of Bach’s famous Mass in B minor. Elina Albach’s ensemble CONTINUUM condenses the mass as a »Missa miniatura« to seven instruments and six voices ’in the Friedenskirche and enters into a dialogue with the text «A doubter speaks« by Jürg Halter, spoken by the actress Caroline Junghanns. On Saturday, July 8, in the Ordenssaal the pianist Alexandre Kantorow shows up. He already thrilled in 2022 and this year he will play a romantic program with Brahms, Liszt and Schubert. Further information and tickets: Alexandre Kantorow piano.


Also this week, the Ludwigsburg Schlossfestspiele are making a excursion within Baden-Württemberg: the five-piece ensemble »Spark« which describes itself as a »classical band,« will play at the highest level on Sunday, July 9 at 7 p.m. in the Fürstensaal in Bad Imnau (Haigerloch) on some forty different flutes, and combine in genre-bending interpretations Johann Sebastian Bach, Luciano Berio and the Beatles. At the »Open Air Music« on Friday, July 7 at 6 p.m. the violinist and pianist Gregor Huebner and friends, consisting of members of the Festival Orchestra, bringing  Afro-Cuban music and tango rhythms to the marketplace in Ludwigsburg.
