VOCES8 begins the last concert of its residency in twilight with »Before the Disappearance of the Light« and prefaces the program's first half with this work title by Thomas Tallis - in the original Latin. Enveloped in this mystical intermediate light, the Stuttgart Grabkapelle is filled with spherical compositions of sacred music. The chapel on the Württemberg could not be more beautifully honoured, as it is celebrating its 200th anniversary this year. With the onset of darkness, the program also flips a switch: Frank Sinatra, Fred Astaire, and Nat King Cole now appear before your eyes in the second part of the concert in front of the sepulchral chapel. VOCES8 impresses the festival audience one last time with its versatile a-cappella singing.

This event is part of the VOCES8 residency.

The open-air part of the event will take place on the steps of the burial chapel. For more comfort, we recommend bringing a seat cushion.
